Conversations of Color: The Ferguson Effect – March 12, 2015

RSVP here to attend Conversations of Color: The Ferguson Effect – New Media & New Movements for Racial Justice.

Media, Culture, and Communication professor Dr. Charlton McIlwain will engage us in a discussion about the role that media played in mobilizing citizens to protest recent high-profile cases of racial injustice related to crime, policing, and the U.S. Criminal Justice system. How did we get here and where do we go from here?

Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm.

Lunch will be provided.

At Conversations of Color, Steinhardt students, faculty, and administrators discuss race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, religious or spiritual belief, ability, gender identity/expression, economic class, and other related topics of diversity.

Sponsored by the Steinhardt Office of Student Affairs.
