The Global Peer Educator program has been designed to provide holistic student support towards programming and community engagement at NYU sites across the world. Students accepted into the Global Peer Educator program will support student success in their personal and professional development and will be called to support efforts that are specific/catered to the global site where in which they will be studying.
Global Peer Educators will be responsible for representing the NYU community and work with Global Student Life Staff to develop programs both on campus and within the site city. The areas of university life that the Global Peer Educators will support include career and professional development, residential life support, health and wellness, club and organizational life, diversity issues, and community service.
As this is a pilot program for the 2012-2013 academic year, there will be 1 student selected for up to 5 sites. Each selected Global Peer Educator will be given a stipend per each semester in the program. GPEs will receive training and information to assist them with these responsibilities, and will be in contact with the Global Peer Education Team and NYU Washington Square throughout the semester(s) to enhance this knowledge base.
Selected candidates will be interviewed beginning August 1
