Katie Sylvester and Vanessa Volpe Are Named NYU’s Most Influential Students

Katie Sylvester and Vanessa Volpe, Steinhardt undergraduate students, are among Washington Square News’ 15 Most Influential Students.

The distinction recognizes a select group of NYU students who work tiirelessly and proactively to effect change in the community. Sylvester and Volpe were the subject of in-depth profiles featured in the student newspaper’s annual influential issue on December 9, 2010.

Katie Sylvester, an applied psychology major, serves as chair of the Student Senator’s Committee and the University Committee on Student Life.

Vanessa Volpe, who is also a student in Steinhardt’s Department of Applied Psychology, is the founder and editor of NYU Psychology OPUS, the online publication of undergraduate studies.
