On September 7th, a group of New York City public high school students began the official start of the school year at NYU. As participants in NYU’s College Preview program, the students attend classes with NYU college students and receive high school credit. Art History, Cinema and Literature, Computers and Society, and Developmental Psychology Across the Lifespan, are among the course offerings.
“College Preview — now in its 16th year — has given more than 1,000 high school students an authentic taste of the college experience,” says Lee Frissell, Steinhardt’s director of field projects who organizes the program.
75 students from 14 New York area high schools are enrolled in the program.
