Sandy Baum, Economist and researcher of financial aid policy, college costs, and affordability in higher education. Baum is a senior policy analyst at the College Board and has served as a consultant to the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities as well as colleges and universities on issues of financial aid, tuition, and campus finance. She is the author or co-author of more than 50 publications including, most recently, Tuition Discounting: Not Just a Private College Practice (2006), a College Board publication.

Lucie Lapovsky, Former president of Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Lapovsky has more than 30 years experience in the area of higher education finance, including service as the director of finance and facilites for the Maryland Higher Education Commission and vice president for finance at Goucher College. She has also served as a consultant to numerous institutions on issues of pricing, student aid and enrollment management. With Sandy Baum, Lapovsky is co-author of Tuition Discounting: Not Just a Private College Practice (2006), which describes recent trends in the use of merit aid by public colleges and universities.
