Research Description/Bio: 

Sarah is a doctoral candidate in NYU Steinhardt’s Psychology and Social Intervention program. Her research focuses on the ways in which schools can support the healthy development of LGBTQ youth. For her dissertation, she is investigating how characteristics of school social networks and students' experiences in those networks impact youth mental health, with a focus on LGBTQ youth. For her practicum, Sarah worked with GLSEN, a national non-profit that works to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania.
