Students who are not native speakers of English and students with disabilities can petition for extra time on the exam and should contact the ETS Praxis administrative office.

Graduation Forms and Deadlines

Students may officially graduate from NYU in September, January, or May but the commencement ceremony is only held in May. Students should apply to graduate through Albert.

In order to graduate in a particular semester, students must apply for graduation within the application deadline period. It is recommended that students apply for graduation no later than the beginning of the semester in which they plan to complete all program requirements. Waiting to receive end-of-term comprehensive exams, thesis, or final project results before applying for graduation will result in a delay in the graduation date. If students do not successfully complete all academic requirements by the end of the semester, they must reapply for graduation the following semester. Please refer to the specific deadlines for the completion of requirements for each graduation available on the Graduation Deadlines Calendar.
