Dr. Harvey Wishe, co-teacher of the program's first semester course in Histology/General Pathology along with Dr. Martin Roy, received both his MS and PhD in Basic Medical Sciences from New York University. Over the years, Drs. Wishe and Roy have collaborated on numerous journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts on the subjects of immunotherapy and immune cell function. Dr. Wishe is also the recipient of more than 15 professional research grants from organizations, such as, the American Institute for Cancer Research, the United States Surgical Corporation, and Penwalt Jelenko Dental Health Products. For the past 25 years, Dr. Wishe has taught various Basic Medical Science courses to students at the New York University College of Dentistry. Currently, he is an Associate Professor and is the Associate Chair of the Department of Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology. In addition, he is a Director of the following courses at the Dental School - Basic Tissues, Organ Systems, Facial Development, and Craniofacial Development and Bone Biology.
