Dr. Francois Haas, author and co-author of more than 70 journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and co-author of such books as Pulmonary Therapy and Rehabilitation: Principles and Practice, The Essential Asthma Book, and The Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema Handbook, graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 1971 with a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics. Along with teaching in the Applied Anatomy/Physiology of the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Systems course in our DPT program, Dr. Haas is as an Associate Professor at the NYU School of Medicine's Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Haas serves on the International Advisory Council for the Center for Jewish Medical Heritage in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Israel. He is also a peer reviewer for the American Review of Respiratory Diseases, Chest, the Journal of Applied Physiology, the New York Academy of Science, and the Spinal Cord Research Foundation.
