Broadway Winds, which is geared toward advanced high school and college-level woodwind players, allows students to perform, study, and collaborate with NYU faculty and industry professionals who have dedicated their careers to the art of woodwind doubling. Sessions will include overviews of individual shows, woodwind orchestration, paths to a successful career, and equipment for doublers. Throughout the 5-day intensive, students will prepare and participate in masterclasses lead by current woodwind doublers on Broadway. The week culminates with all participants attending a Broadway show from two perspectives: in the audience and IN THE PIT!

Past Broadway Wind presenters have included: Rick Heckman (Anastasia), Ed Matthew (Phantom of the Opera), Dave Nolan (Spongebob Square Pants), Mark Thrasher (Aladdin), and Steven Kenyon (Mean Girls).
