This course examines the literature, research findings, and current practices that support shifting to a strength-based view of children, youth, and adults with autism. Students’ clinical, educational, and personal experiences are used as a basis to examine current models in the US and UK through a strength-based lens. Advances in strength-based framing in health, education, media and advocacy will be examined and a comparative analysis will be conducted.
