During the Academic Year 2020-21, Steinhardt is offering in-person courses for its graduate students who are nationals or permanent residents of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, as part of the Go Local initiative at NYU Shanghai. These courses are in addition to the comprehensive initiatives available to undergraduate students through the University’s Go Local program.
In Fall 2020, 67 graduate students were served at NYU Shanghai and an additional 383 undergraduate students were served at Berlin, Florence, London, Los Angeles, Prague, and Shanghai. Fall graduate in-person instruction at NYU Shanghai serves 5 programs that enroll the greatest numbers of Chinese nationals: Digital Media Design for Learning (DMDL), MCC, TESOL, Performing Arts Administration (PAA), and Visual Arts Administration (VAA) through the courses listed here. These in-person courses are supplemented by NYC-based remote courses, by advisement.
In Spring 2021, we will serve the same or greater number of students at NYU Shanghai through the course options provided here. Courses are open to Steinhardt graduate students from all academic departments, by advisement.
In fall 2020, more than 60 Steinhardt graduate international students enrolled in in-person classes at NYU shanghai in the fall semester, while also taking some remote coursework with their New York peers.
Steinhardt plans to continue offering new Go Local courses for international students enrolled in Steinhardt graduate programs at NYU Shanghai in Spring 2021.
