Ellie Abrams

PhD Student

Ellie Abrams is a PhD student in the Psychology Department at NYU’s College of Arts & Science working with Dr. Pablo Ripollés and Dr. David Poeppel. Ellie graduated from Pomona College with a major in Cognitive Science and a minor in Music minor. Before beginning the PhD program, Ellie was a lab manager and research assistant in both the Neurolinguistics Lab and the Morphology Lab at NYU, where her work focused on the neural basis of musical engagement, the neurobiology of language, and the clinical applications of MEG language research. Before coming to NYU, Ellie was involved in studies of music and language development in preschoolers and of speaker recognition in adults as UCSD’s Language Acquisition and Sound Recognition lab.
