Ana Catalina Duque (she/her/ella)

Senior Project Associate TAP for Equity

Ana Catalina Duque  is a seasoned educator, facilitator, and coach committed to fostering change and transformation. With nearly two decades of experience in education, Ana's journey began in the classroom, where she honed her skills as a teacher, curriculum designer, and equity practitioner. She continued her mission as an adjunct professor, clinical supervisor, and consultant, guiding individuals and organizations towards a deeper understanding of systems of oppression and the path to liberation.

Grounded in emergent strategy and abolitionist praxis, Ana's facilitation style seamlessly blends strategic frameworks with a commitment to healing and community building. Through storytelling and historical context, she creates learning spaces that encourage reflection and dialogue, empowering participants to explore the intersections of identity, power, and privilege.

As a parent, partner and immigrant, Ana brings a wealth of lived experience to her work, striving to be in right relationship with both her students and herself. She is dedicated to dismantling racism in education and beyond, partnering with schools, nonprofits, and community groups to advance racial equity initiatives.

Ana's impact extends far beyond the classroom, as she has served as a trainer for organizations such as The Center for Racial Justice in Education, and Re-Center, guiding educators in disrupting racism and fostering inclusive learning environments.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ana finds joy in learning new crafts, exploring museums, and embarking on hikes with her family. She remains steadfast in her commitment to lifelong learning and exploration as evidenced by her ever growing collection of books.
