Perspectives in Human Occupation: Participation in Life

"There is no one truth about human occupation, except that it enriches our lives," say the editors of Perspectives in Human Occupation. Indeed, this book is all about perspectives, and each chapter offers a different view of human occupation, some easy to read, some complex, but all of them important and enlightening.

Setting the stage by defining occupation as the core concept of the profession of occupational therapy, this book then presents scholars’ perspectives of human occupation, as well as the issues of occupation related to practice. Covering the rich philosophical and historical foundations of occupational therapy, the book also highlights the multidisciplinary nature of the profession.
