Grace Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of California, at Davis and her master's degree in Occupational Therapy at Columbia University in 2002. She received her PhD in Occupational Therapy at New York University in 2016. She has worked primarily with adults with physical disabilities and gained expertise in neurorehabilitation.

Dr. Kim developed an interest in the integration of technology for recovery after stroke while working as a clinical researcher in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. She has extensive experience working with individuals with stroke and rehabilitation robotics devices of the upper limb. Currently, she is interested in the integration of behavioral theoretical models to identify determinants and intervention strategies to facilitate actual use of the affected arm in individuals with stroke living in the community. She has published work in the areas of stroke outcome measurement and rehabilitation robotics interventions.

Dr. Kim was the 2014 recipient of the Mitchell Leaska Dissertation Grant and is currently a member of the programming committee of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM).
