Honors Students Examine Transnational Media in Buenos Aires

"Spring break in Buenos Aires was a transformative experience for me...interacting with real people in real industries contextualized my knowledge from textbooks to reality," shared freshman Marva Shi.  The interdisciplinary group of students were able to meet with writers and producers of Argentine tv and film, and "getting to talk face-to-face with those who work directly with what we have been studying was incredibly fulfilling," reported Oona Bebout, freshman.

The DGHS courses provide an opportunity for students and faculty to interact outside the classroom, which Professor Pinon particularly appreciated.  "It was one of these academic and cultural experiences in which students change in the process, but you also change with them."
