Metro’s LPP Features Culinary Arts Program in Its Summer Offerings

Metro Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) included LPP Summer 2017 Culinary Arts Program as a new and exciting addition to the cohort of LPP activities. Over 3 weeks in July of 2017, Metro LPP students learned to cook healthy meals, shop for ingredients (how to choose produce, how to price conservatively, how to order meat from a butcher, etc.), compost, gardening their own vegetables, cutting and cooking techniques, and food safety.  Students worked with Chef Thomas from Brickhouse Pantry at a variety of locations, gaining enriching hands-on experience.
