Coleman on "Anonymous" Activist Group, Protests in Egypt

Gabriella Coleman, assistant professor of Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University, was interviewed by Jeff Baird of BBC World Service about the influence of "Anonymous" -- a community of unidentified digital activists  -- on the widespread protests in Egypt.

Coleman indicates that "Anonymous" is concerned with human rights issues related to protection against government surveillance, website service attacks, and the blocking of Internet access by government officials.
