Ms. Jasrin Jalal is the NYU LPP new Program Coordinator. Jasrin is a former NYU Liberty Partnerships Program LPP tutor who graduated with a Masters in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, Steinhardt. She started working with Metro Center in 2016 - 2017 as a tutor for vulnerable high school students, while also assisting their guidance counselors in planning the socioemotional aspect.

Before coming to New York City to pursue her Masters, she worked in the Singapore Prison Service for 3 years providing counseling and aftercare programs for Substance Abusers of all ages. Jasrin has been an active participant of community involvement programs around South East Asia for the past 10 years, where she has worked with underprivileged teenage students yearning for an education to have a better future.  

In her role of Program Coordinator, Jasrin serves as a specialist on issues and related to counseling and case management.  She provides direct services to students, and continues to work with their guidance counselors in providing interventions for their mental health and academic needs.
