Between Two Worlds:

With keen insight, Mr. Dau shares the myriad of cultural and material differences he faced upon arrival to the United States in 2001. He recounts the shock of his tribal culture colliding with life in America and delves into the challenges of making a new life for himself while keeping one eye on Sudan. Mr. Dau aims to help audiences understand the struggles many first generation refugees face, as well as offering insights on how to assist refugees adjusting to a new life in the United States.

There were 2 breakout sessions (about 50 min each) after the major session, offering workshops in about 7-9 languages including English, Spanish, Chinese, Bengali, Arabic, French, Haitian, Korean and a few African Languages. We addressed any other pre-registered languages groups who required translation.
