Diana Kamin, PhD | Dissertation Distinction Award

What reading produced the biggest aha moment? Unpublished writings by Romana Javitz, head librarian of NYPL's Picture Collection from 1929-1968, which I write about in my dissertation. I couldn't believe how much she anticipated theorists of images and photography writing decades later.
If you could meet any scholar, dead or alive, who would it be?
I'd like to get together with Walter Benjamin and Susan Buck-Morss.
