Village Voices: the Contemporary and Jazz Vocal Ensemble

Students from the contemporary vocal group Village Voices posed on stage
8 pm - 9:30 pm ET
Frederick Loewe Theater 35 West 4th Street NYC

Directed by Lauren Kinhan and Janis Siegel

Presenting music from modern day singer/songwriters to classic swing chestnuts, Village Voices will take you on a ride both traditional and soulful!  The set includes treatments of jazz treasures Stolen Moments (from New York Voices) and Route 66 (from The Manhattan Transfer), and three original compositions which visit Brazil, Cuba and a mixed meter funk fest.  This collective features the ensemble in a big way and beautiful solos from the members throughout.  Come celebrate the end of the semester with us and let us send you out dancing.

Village Voices are:
Katie Nam, Chelsea Melnick, Sydney Hoel, Maya Mutheramalingam, Maggie Greene, Eliza Belk, Jahnvi Seshadri, CJ Tomaszewski, Sakshat Katyarmal, Connor Burns, Shailen Braun, Sam Joseph, Winston Yang, and Joe Smith
