This year’s NYSABE Conference theme, “Reaffirming Policy to Transform Practice and Action in Bilingual Education,” emphasizes NYSABE’s unwavering commitment to revisiting and reinforcing existing policies with the intent to make a tangible, positive impact in the implementation and outcomes of bilingual education.  It emphasizes the need to translate policy and theoretical support into real-world initiatives and strategies that transform classrooms for the benefit of bilingual learners and educators. In this regard, our conference seeks to provide participants with professional development focusing on successful, research-based practices that strengthen the academic and socio- emotional development of our bilingual/multilingual and immigrant-origin students.
