Justice for Breonna Taylor: A Listening & Healing Space for the Community

A memorial mural of Breonna Taylor with the words no justice no peace
1:00pm-2:30pm ET

The Office of Equity, Belonging, and Community Action at NYU Steinhardt, in collaboration with NYU Metro Center, Steinhardt Student Affairs, the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), and the Graduate Student Organization(GSO), will be holding space in response to the troubling grand jury decision not to indict the officers responsible for the murder of Breonna Taylor. We feel with you the elastic pain, continuing trauma, and numbing fatigue that yet another verdict has been handed down reinforcing the devaluation of Black womxn’s lives.

We want to provide a space for you to both hear from one another and be heard, where you can share and discuss your stories, feelings, and experience with others. This space will be to discuss Breonna Taylor, humanize the value of Black (femme) lives and countless other victims of police brutality, the recent and current protests, and related topics.
