Community Check-Ins are Hosted Every Third Thursday at 12pm

We in the Steinhardt Office of Equity, Belonging, & Community Action believe in the transcendent power of feeling, positively nurtured in the space of community and the collective power found in the ceremony of our coming together, for the other only thing greater than self care is collective care. How can we hold space for each other? In her poignant yet insight op-ed published in the New York Times, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, writes: “Perhaps the path to healing begins with three simple words: Are you OK?” In the spirit of community, in our commitment to collective care, we want to know, are you okay?
Throughout the spring, we will host monthly check-ins, facilitated by Vice Dean Kirkland, for our Steinhardt community. This space will offer our community a platform to share questions, comments, and concerns around issues of equity and belonging at NYU Steinhardt. But mostly, it will give us a chance to hear from you about what is needed to restore and maintain our community health and healing.
Check-ins/community conversations are open to all students, employees, and alums of NYU Steinhardt.
