
Metro Learning Communities (MLC), a specialized professional development project of NYU’s Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools, presents their Early Career Teacher Institute beginning on January 19th, 2023. This innovative professional development series is designed to improve quality instruction for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year teachers and teaching assistants.
Participants in MLC’s Early Career Teacher Institute can expect in-depth and wide ranging guided teacher education workshops and training opportunities. These are inclusive of classroom management, student engagement, differentiating instruction, equitable practices, with a heightened focus on the practices that facilitate creating healing-centered classrooms for all children, as well as a whole child approach to teaching and learning.
