DESCRIPTION
Implementing instructional units of study that include a range of texts in order to advance ELLs’ language proficiency, build their academic vocabulary, promote strong reading comprehension, and create opportunities for language use.

AUDIENCE
ENL Teachers, Integrated ELA/ENL Teachers, and Supervisors of Teachers of ELLs
We will use a NYS/NYC ELA Secondary Instructional Unit from Expeditionary Learning for Modeling Purposes across the sessions that includes both literary and informational text (and make mention of similar Wit &Wisdom Units)
Across the two sessions, we will model useful distance learning tools for remote delivery of instruction.
