The NYU Children’s Chorus, under the direction of Carol Beadle, is an outreach of the University to the children and the parents of the community. In the chorus, the singers will learn proper vocal technique, musicianship, and quality repertoire. They will also have the opportunity to sing and perform.
Who Can Join
The program is free of charge, and is open to any young singer between the ages of six and twelve (grades 1-6). Children must be 6 years old at the beginning of the school year to be a part of the group.
Registration is now closed.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The NYU Children’s Chorus meet every Tuesday during the NYU Fall and Spring semesters. The Novice Chorus meets from 4:00-4:50 and the Apprentice Chorus meets from 4:55-5:50 at the Frederick Loewe Theater at 35 West 4th St.
Students are only allowed 3 absences per semester. If a child misses more than 3 rehearsals, he or she will be asked to leave the group for the semester.
Performances and Concerts
We perform a final concert at the end of each semester (December and May).
