Children's Chorus is on hiatus for the 2022-2023 academic year but will return for the Fall 2023 semester. Please check back for updated information.
The NYU Children’s Chorus, under the direction of Carol Beadle, is an outreach of the University to the children and the parents of the community. In the chorus, the singers will learn proper vocal technique, musicianship, and quality repertoire. They will also have the opportunity to sing and perform.
The program is free of charge, and is open to any young singer between the ages of six and twelve (grades 1-6). Children must be 6 years old at the beginning of the school year to be a part of the group. There are also no auditions or fees required. There is no limit or waitlist. All are welcome!
The NYU Children’s Chorus meets every Tuesday during the NYU Fall and Spring semesters. The Novice Chorus meets from 4:00-4:50 and the Apprentice Chorus meets from 4:55-5:50 at the Frederick Loewe Theatre at 35 West 4th St. We perform a final concert in Skirball at the end of each semester (December and May).
