MA Seminar in Social Studies

An additional 3-credit course linking content to pedagogy will be be selected by student with approval of advisor.

Content Specialization

Based on their previous social studies course work and professional needs and interests, students will take a total of 15 credits divided between courses in this section and courses in the section below (Courses Addressing Theories and Strategies for Adapting Curriculum and Instruction), with the approval of their advisor. These courses in social studies content can be taken within the Social Studies Education Program, History Department, Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities Department, or in another department related to social studies within the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Possible courses include the ones listed below. Others are available by advisement.

Courses Addressing Theories and Strategies for Adapting Curriculum and Instruction
