Electives

Students select 6-10 credits of electives from the program, department, or across the University to support their field of specialization track, deepen their research and career-related skills, or develop further expertise.  You may also opt to take additional field of specialization/track courses listed above, or complete both fields of specialization tracks.

Finally, students in this variable credit degree may opt to take up to 8 additional credits of specialization electives should they choose to take more than the minimum of 32 credits.

Students may also fulfill this requirement through NYU Steinhardt's global study programs, which are periodically offered in January, over spring break, or during the summer, including the International Education study abroad opportunities during the summer in Ghana

Students may choose electives from across Steinhardt, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and others.
