Youth Organizations and Prevention and Intervention Strategies

Course explores current educational practices and policies affecting marginalized youth in a variety of settings such as schools, juvenile justice system, foster care, and child protective services. Students will apply social/cultural reproduction theories to analyze prevention and intervention strategies. Special attention will be paid to how organizations create relevant learning and/or intervention environments.
