Sci in Our Lives: Science, Technology & Decision Making

In this course students investigate how to think about sustainability as it applies to contemporary applications of materials in fields such as water quality, nanotechnology, energy, & food science. By exploring the practices of science from observing & measurement to analyzing & explaining data, students learn to use data and produce scientific knowledge for the public & begin to explore the bigger question of whether some of the practices in which we engage and the things we use are making our planet sick. Liberal Arts Core/MAP Equivalent - satisfies the requirement for Natural Sciences
