Research Description/Bio: Amy is a part-time doctoral student and an adjunct instructor in the Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science and Humanities. Her research explores the role of schools in urban history, particularly in influencing patterns of migration, property ownership and local governance. She serves as the instructor for the undergraduate seminar Education and the American Dream: Historical Perspectives. In prior years, she has worked as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses, including Global Culture Wars and Introduction to American Education, and as a peer tutor for econometrics and quantitative research courses. She assists Professor James W. Fraser in coordinating the Luce Lecture Series and has contributed research to Professor L'Heureux Lewis-Mccoy’s forthcoming study on the links between segregated schooling and affordable housing in Westchester County. 

Amy also serves as the Associate Director for Global Programs at NYU Law, managing study abroad programs and various global and curricular initiatives for students and faculty. She earned an MA in International Education from NYU Steinhardt in 2014 and a BA in English from Loyola University Maryland in 2009.
