Zachary Klim, BA, MA 
Director, Academic Initiatives and Global Programs

Zack collaborates with deans, department chairs, faculty, staff and institutional partners to conceptualize, implement and evaluate NYU Steinhardt’s international programming at home and abroad. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Global and Academic Affairs, Zack plays a leadership role in structuring the pedagogical and administrative foundations of the school’s global programs including: partnerships and affiliations, graduate and undergraduate study abroad, intern abroad initiatives, and internationalization of Washington Square. He joined NYU Steinhardt in 2008 after significant work in the field of international educational development in Bangladesh, Burma, Costa Rica, and Honduras.

Prior to his work at NYU, Zack served as a Peace Corps volunteer, taught in New York City schools, worked for USAID, and served as affiliated faculty for SIT/World Learning. Zack holds a BA in English literature and Spanish from the University at Buffalo and an MA in TESOL from Teachers College, Columbia University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology of Education at NYU Steinhardt.
