Sims Municipal Recycling (SMR) is a division of Sims Metal Management, the world's largest publicly traded metal and electronics recycler. SMR is the processor and marketer of all metal, glass and plastic collected through the New York City curbside recycling program -- the largest municipal recycling program in the US. As part of its long term contract with the City, SMR is building an Education Center at its new Recycling Facility in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where school children will be able to learn about all aspects of recycling and related environmental and sustainability issues.
