What if we lived in a world where everyone was scientifically literate? What if all kids had access to a high-quality science education? The STEME Education and Research Center at NYU Steinhardt is a new advanced technology facility where faculty in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Environmental education will research how teachers learn to teach STEME subjects and how children and youth, especially those in underserved communities, come to master these subjects. High tech display walls, smart boards, portable multi-touch lab stations, video technology, and cloud collaboration will provide an exciting setting for investigation and learning in partnership with schools, teachers, scientists, and educators -- in the United States and around the world.
