May 2009 Response to Intervention (RtI) and Disproportionality Equity Forum


A special panel discussion on the intersection of RtI and disproportionality in special education was moderated by Dr. Pedro Noguera, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education and Peter L. Agnew Professor of Education at New York University. Panelists were: Dr. Mark Alter, Professor of Educational Psychology, New York University, Dr. Doug Fuchs, Professor and Nicholas Hobbs Chair in Special Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Darren Woodruff, Co-Chair of the National Center on Response to Intervention, Dr. Eddie Fergus, Director, Applied Research, Evaluation, and Policy, Metropolitan Center for Urban Education, and Charlotte Gray, Director, Technical Assistance Center on Disproportionality.
