Jonathan Flores (they/them) has been teaching in the Dance Education program since 2021 while also serving as the Associate Director for the Kaleidoscope Dancers outreach company.
Jonathan received their Bachelor of Science in American Dance Pedagogy from Oklahoma City University and their Master of Arts in Dance Education from New York University Steinhardt. They are also certified in all levels of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum through ABT’s partnership with NYU.
Outside of NYU, Jonathan is the Associate Academy Director for Steps on Broadway where they organize dance training for over 350 students in both recreational and pre-professional tracks. In their career, Jonathan has served in various roles including choreographer, educator, singer, dancer, stage technician, and graphic designer.
Jonathan’s teaching philosophy emphasizes student-led experiences and fostering a sense of curiosity for life-long learning.
