Allison Graham Brown

Executive Director

Allison Graham Brown, MAEd, is the Executive Director of the Nest Support Project. Allison holds a BA in psychology from Ohio State University and a Masters from NYU. Allison has been a proud member of the Nest community for over 17 years beginning as a New York City Public School special education teacher at the first Nest Middle School.  In her current role as Executive Director she oversees all project business, partners with NYCPS leadership to enhance inclusive practices and deepen understanding of neurodiversity in schools, and leads the support team at NYU to enact the project vision of a world that authentically embraces its inherent neurodiversity.

Additionally, Allison partners with school communities, specifically working with school leadership to enhance their equitable and inclusive practices, deepen understanding of neurodiversity, and support the implementation of the Autism Nest Program. She facilitates professional development and training for practitioners centering on true inclusion, implementing neurodiversity-affirming practices, equity, celebrating neurodiversity, and strength-based approaches in education. Allison has been an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College and New York University, teaching courses on instructional methods for students with disabilities, and behavior theory and interventions.
