New York University has a long history of welcoming transfer students—in fact the very first NYU graduate was a transfer student!
The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development offers admission to hundreds of students transferring from both two-year and four-year colleges and universities. As you explore your opportunities for baccalaureate degree study, you will find our staff and faculty supportive of your efforts to transfer. If you are a community college student from the tri-state area, you could well be eligible for Steinhardt's Community College Transfer Opportunity Program (CCTOP), potentially a $20,000/year scholarship. Learn more about CCTOP here.
The NYU Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers daily information sessions and campus tours for all prospective students. Use their Online Reservation System for more details and to make a reservation. Please make sure you fill out an Undergraduate Admissions on-line inquiry form so that you receive important updates for transfer students.
The NYU Office of Financial Aid can answer all of your questions regarding financial aid. Students offered admision to The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development will automatically be considered for scholarship assistance as long as they have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
