Keynote presentations by leaders in teaching and learning were presented morning through noontime during Friday May 20 to Saturday May 21, 2005. These keynote presentations provided an opportunity to hear from individuals who have distingushed themselves nationally in the areas of math and science education.

Past presentations by leaders have focused on issues of equity, the "math" wars, using magic to inspire inquiry, challenges of teaching in the urban classroom, the impact and implications of the "No Child Left Behind" legislation, and strategies for combining inquiry in a standards-based curriculum.
