The Department of Teaching and Learning offers two minors in education:
Designed for students from across New York University who are interested in the big issues in education – the social, cultural, economic, political, legal and policy issues in education in the United States and around the world. (Offered jointly with the Steinhardt Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Professions.)
Designed for students from across New York University who are interested in exploring the field of teacher education and/or are considering teaching children or adolescents in elementary or secondary schools or related settings after they graduate.
Special Note: Effective Fall 2012, students may no longer declare the General Education Minor or any of the Secondary Education Minors. If you have already declared one of these minors, do not despair – you can visit our archived website for information on those minors, including course requirements.
