Math Education, MA: MSTEP (Math, Science, Technology Enhancement Program)
The focus of the Math, Science, Technology Enhancement Project (MSTEP) is the professional certification of math and science teachers. During the past 14 years, over 450 teachers have graduated from this program, most of whom have remained in the New York City public school system. This translates into over 1,675,000 New York City public school students who have been positively impacted by this program. The MSTEP coursework addresses gender and ethnicity, pedagogy, learning standards, action research, and content.
