Admission Requirements
Applicants to the master's program in math education must have either initial New York State certification in secondary (adolescent) mathematics or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 27 points in mathematics content with good grades. Under special circumstances, applicants without initial certification and with fewer than this number of points, but whose grades indicate the ability to do well in mathematics, may be allowed to take the missing course work as a part of the program in addition to the regular requirements. However, applicants without the prerequisites will be encouraged to complete this coursework prior to beginning the program.
