The New York University Teacher Education Program, which is designed to prepare students to meet the challenges of teaching and leadership in today’s demanding educational environment, is granted accreditation by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) for a period of seven years, from June 11, 2012 – June 11, 2019. This accreditation certifies that the forenamed professional education program has provided evidence that the program adheres to TEAC’s quality principles.

A Summary of the Case from the Inquiry Brief for the New York University Teacher Education Program is available as a pdf on the TEAC website.

In accordance with the 2008 Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), the Steinhardt School also submits an annual report (pdf) to the New York State Education Department on the quality of its teacher preparation program.
