High School Summer Art Intensive
A 4-week residential pre-college program that gives students a unique opportunity to live and study studio art in one of the greatest cities in the world. The program offers two modules of classes in 2D and 3D disciplines, modeled after our undergraduate program, where art-making and critical-thinking go hand in hand. Students will also participate in a ‘Visionary Studios’ class, involving artist talks, field trips, and more.
Summer Studio Art Residency
An 8-week immersive studio experience for recent BFA graduates dedicated to studio time, theoretical concerns, and establishing a professional practice for a career in art.
Summer Art Courses
Summer courses in Studio Art open to students across NYU and those outside the university. The courses, offered in two summer session options, are a unique opportunity for art majors, art minors, or those seeking art electives to combine studio work and critical study while gaining an inside view of the New York art scene. These courses are open to students studying for both undergraduate and graduate degrees and certain sessions are also open to high school students. Housing is available in the dorms throughout the summer.
