Combine professional development with personal enrichment.

Study abroad with New York University's School of Culture, Education, and Human Development!

Study Abroad LocationsThe Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development is a leader in the global educational community. We believe that professionals must develop a global perspective to integrate the vital connections within diverse communities and across world cultures. Our programs, primarily at the graduate level, offer a challenging array of courses in education, health, communication, and the arts. See a full list of our programs.

We welcome students, educators, and other professionals alike. The dynamic mix of graduate students and working professionals has been a unique feature of our programs for over 30 years. The relationships that develop in an atmosphere of self-discovery and learning as adventure are a rewarding experience.

Earn from 6 to 12 graduate points toward your degree at NYU or another university. A few of our programs offer the opportunity to complete your master's degree in three summers the first two abroad and the third in New York City. Programs do not have a foreign language requirement. A few of the programs enroll undergraduates.

Study with prominent scholars and artists; meet arts administrators, political leaders, and health care professionals; attend performances; visit museums and historical sites; and pursue individual research.
