Meetings

As part of the information gathering and theme development phase of the strategic planning process, Keeling and Associates is scheduling individual meetings with Steinhardt senior leadership (including deans and department chairs) and other key stakeholders; group meetings with faculty, students, administrators, and staff; small-group structured interviews including focus groups; and large-group information-gathering sessions (town halls) and "idea walls." The process will use surveys to collect additional information.

Consultants from Keeling & Associates will be present to answer questions.  At the end of the day, the walls will be photographed to capture the ideas and comments expressed.  The data collected will add another valuable dimension to our strategic planning process.

Building on the exceptional work done by the SPSC and the many ideas contributed by faculty, administrators and students during the interim period of reflection and discussion in February and March, the work of this newly appointed group of faculty (including some SPSC members), administrators, and deans will focus of making the strategic plan a practical and actionable document.  The Strategic Priorities Group will sharpen the language of the plan, identify and retain the most actionable and highest priority objectives, and produce a final version of the document that is accessible, innovative, and meaningful.

During summer 2013, the Implementation Planning Group (IPG) will review responses to the June, 2013 survey of faculty and administrators, in which respondents rated the goals and ranked the objectives of the Strategic Plan, and prepare the activities suggested by respondents to the survey for prioritization by a faculty group.
