Twenty eight species of reptiles have been recorded in the Galapagos in recent times.  Nineteen of these species are endemic to the archipelago, eleven of which are confined to single islands, and three species have been introduced.  The reptiles that occur in the Galapagos can be divided into seven types:  tortoise, turtles, iguanas, lava lizards, geckos, snakes, and sea snakes.   Four of these types are below and will be a part of your journey through the Galapagos.
